This is a comprehensive course addressing disaster preparation for the critical care provider.

Description: The purpose of this course is to orient ICU nurses to the best practices related to the recovery of the postoperative cardiovascular patient and may also serve as a refresher for nurses who currently care for this dynamic patient population.

Explosive disaster and blast trauma will include a discussion on bomb activity, Improvised Explosive Devices, and explosion components. Blast force injuries will evaluate the different blast injuries and the medical response to blast injuries.

In intensive care units (ICUs), nurses are at the forefront of providing critical care to patients with complex medical needs. While basic hemodynamic monitoring is foundational, certain patient conditions necessitate advanced monitoring techniques.
