Overview

Educational Development Workshop for nurse educators presented by the Office of Curriculum and Educational Development.

Curriculum development allows educators to take a thoughtful and systematic approach to determine what learners will be required to learn. The curriculum development process systematically organizes what will be taught, who will be taught, and how it will be taught. In this session, we will present an overview of the nuts and bolts of curriculum development, as well as a brief overview of the common instructional design models.


Target Audience and Needs

Registered Nurses (Nurse Educators) 


Learning Outcome

After each activity, 80% of learners will indicate that they have gained the new knowledge to grow professionally as Nurse Educators/ NCPD practitioners in the post-activity evaluation by selecting at least "somewhat" knowledge increase.


Accreditation

Houston Methodist is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

 

To be awarded 1.00 continuing professional development hours, the participant must attend the program in its entirety and complete the evaluation tool.
