Implementation Science: The Science of Implementation to Guide your Evidence-Based Practice and Research
This session will discuss the usage of implementation science to guide evidence-based practice and research efforts. This session builds on the introduction of using science and what is known from nursing science. Further review on how to use an implementation framework to identify facilitators and barriers to practice change, aligning evidence-based strategies with identified barriers using an implementation science framework and utilizing a process model to set up an implementation plan.
Objectives:
1. Utilize an implementation framework to identify facilitators and barriers to practice change.
2. Align evidenced -based strategies with identified barriers utilizing the framework.
3. Discuss a process model to develop an implementation plan.
Target Audience
Registered Nurses, APRNs, LPNs/LVNs and all others.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the activity, all learners should report knowledge of implementation science and the usage of implementation science in evidence-based practice and research to fill knowledge gaps in the clinical setting in the post-activity evaluation tool. All attendees should identify new knowledge that they intend to incorporate into practice, innovation, and evidence-based interventions as reflected in the post-activity evaluation tool.
