Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation Long-Term Outcomes and Durability - Journal-based CME
Journal-based CME Activity
Methodist DeBakey Cardiovascular Journal
This journal-based CME provides Information on long-term outcomes and durability of transcatheter heart valves. These are increasingly important as younger patients at lower surgical risk undergo transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI).

- Discuss the clinical outcomes from the landmark TAVI trials in the mid to long-term range (>=5 years).
- Analyze long-term durability data from TAVI landmark clinical trials and surgical bioprostheses at mid-term follow-up when making decisions about proceeding with TAVI.
- Implement the use of standardized definitions of bioprosthetic valve dysfunction as an important means for improving the analysis of data from long-term durability studies.
