Abstract Submissions

The Houston Methodist Center for Critical Care invites abstract submission for poster presentation at the Inaugural Green ICU Conference.

Accepted abstracts will be presented as digital posters on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, during the Green ICU Conference. The purpose of the posters is to share innovative ideas, practical solutions, research findings, or quality improvement efforts related to sustainability in intensive care settings.

A Message from SCCM from Dr. Domico

Michele Domico, MD, FCCM

Dr. Michele Domico is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) and University of California, Irvine. She serves as the Associate Director of the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at CHOC as well as the Associate Director of the ECMO program. Dr. Domico is fellowship trained in both cardiology and pediatric critical care and spent an additional year at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London as an ECMO fellow. In 2024, she was appointed co-chair of the Society of Critical Care Medicine's Environmental Sustainability Task Force and in 2025, will complete a Master of Sustainability Leadership degree from Arizona State University's School of Sustainability, with hopes to enhance environmental stewardship within the health care system.
