This program is designed to familiarize health care professionals, including neurologists and non-neurologists, regarding clinical presentations and evaluation of patients with acquired neuromuscular junction disorders, such as myasthenia gravis and Lambert Eaton myasthenic syndrome, to enable care providers the ability to diagnose and manage the myasthenic patient in the acute and ambulatory care settings and minimize disease morbidity and mortality.

Target Audience
Emergency medicine physicians, ophthalmologists, internal medicine, pulmonologist, general neurologist, NM neurologists, RN, NPs, PA’s and allied health professionals (RT’s, Speech therapists, Social work, EMT)
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
- Discuss clinical presentations and progression of myasthenic syndromes and associated comorbidities.
- Describe current and emerging therapies for the symptomatic and disease treatment of these disorders.
- Discuss updates on emerging therapies for myasthenic syndromes and research outcomes for these and related disorders.
- Describe a working algorithm for the non-neurology care provider to facilitate more effective management of the patient.
