Overview
Researchers have identified an education gap between generation of new knowledge and the transfer of research-based knowledge into practice. This gap exists because of varying degrees of understanding and knowledge of the research process and experience in the critiquing research and evaluating its scientific merit and clinic relevance.
Target Audience and Needs
The target audience for this activity is: radiation oncology, medical oncology, and surgery, radiology, and pathology specialties. This meeting is open to all staff and medical staff members of Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital.
Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
- Discuss various breast malignancies
- Recommend standard of care treatment options for breast malignancies
- Recall recent literature on the topics discussed
- Recognize side effects of common breast treatment modalities in oncology.
