ForwardTMC Collaborative: Medical-Surgical Certification Review Course- October 2024
Course Overview: The Medical-Surgical Certification Exam Review Course is a comprehensive and intensive two-day program specially designed for registered nurses seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills in medical-surgical nursing and successfully pass the medical-surgical certification exam. This didactic course covers essential topics, evidence-based practices, and critical thinking strategies required to excel in the medical-surgical nursing field.
Course Materials: Participants will receive access to a PDF of lecture notes, which contain practice questions and references to essential resources for further self-study.
Faculty: The course is taught by experienced masters' and doctorate-prepared nurses with a passion for teaching and a track record of success in helping nurses achieve certification.
Additional Information: Board certification may be obtained either via the American Nurses Credentialing Center (Medical Surgical Nurse - Board Certified (MEDSURG-BC)) or the Medical Surgical Nursing Certification Board (Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN)) if the RN meets eligibility requirements as specified by the licensing board.

Target Audience
Registered nurses who are planning to take the medical-surgical certification exam or those seeking to refresh their knowledge and skills in medical-surgical nursing.
Learning Objectives
On completion of this activity, nurses will report increased confidence in sitting the medical-surgical examination based on the enhanced knowledge of medical surgical pathophysiology and treatments. They will identify at least one new learning that they will apply to their practice as reflected in the post activity survey.
