Please note: Registration on this page is for Day 2 of the review only.
Medical-Surgical nurses today are called upon to provide competent patient care for increasingly complex and diverse patient populations. This Medical-Surgical Certification Review course reviews common anatomy and physiology, highlights advancements in evidence-based practice, and reinforces quality patient care.
Target Audience
Registered Nurses seeking certification in medical-surgical nursing.
Learning Objectives
At the completion of this course, the nurse will be better prepared to demonstrate clinical knowledge on a medical-surgical board-certification examination.
Nursing Learning Outcome:
At the completion of this activity, nurses are expected to gain enhanced knowledge of common medical-surgical pathophysiology and treatments, current issues and trends, and test-taking strategies that foster confidence in sitting for the certification exam. This will be evidenced by self-reported knowledge gains on the post-activity evaluation survey.
Additional Information:
Board certification may be obtained either via the American Nurses Credentialing Center (Medical Surgical Nurse - Board Certified (MedSurg-BC)) or the Medical Surgical Nursing Certification Board (Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN)) if the RN meets eligibility requirements as specified by the licensing board.
