Solid Organ Transplant in refractory heart failure and/or respiratory failure patients often encounter acute deterioration while in hospital.  Acute deterioration of these patients result in unplanned intensive care admissions, unexpected death and/or cardiac arrests is a high-stakes, high anxiety scenario for bedside staff.  In this highly interactive session, learn the critical elements needed to manage  tMCS patients, identify change in patient condition leading to rapid deterioration, and through simulation, rapid intervention to improve patient outcomes

      • Formulate a systematic approach to assess and manage patients experience an acute clinical change since initial assessment
      • Develop evaluation and management strategies for a patient exhibiting shock, acute respiratory failure and metabolic disturbance
      • Distinguishing between left and right ventricular heart failure and emergency management
      • Determine a management plan for unstable patient including ACLS in correlation with device management
