Session 2: 12 Lead ECG Interpretation: Essentials Skills for Clinical Practice

Accurate interpretation of complex cardiac arrythmias is crucial in identifying change in patient condition.  This advanced nursing skill impacts patient outcomes.  In this session, gain proficiency and confidence in interpreting high-grade AV block, atrial tachyarrhythmias, AVNRT, AVRT in Wolf-Parkinson syndrome and ventricular arrhythmias.  Learn clinical tips and tricks and strategies for determining the etiology of SVT and lethal arrythmias.

  • Understand basics of ECG interpretation

  • Correlate the physiological problem in hart block to the findings on the rhythm strip, change in patient clinical presentation, and required treatment

  • Distinguish ectopy (VT) from aberrancy (SVT with BBB) based on QRS morphology in lead V1.
