Schwartz Rounds provides a safe, structured forum for healthcare professionals to discuss the emotional and social challenges of caring for patients. Through open conversation, reflection, and shared experiences, participants gain insights into the human dimension of healthcare and foster greater empathy and teamwork across disciplines.
Target Audience
Physicians, nurses, advanced practice providers, residents/fellows, social workers, chaplains, pharmacists, and all healthcare professionals involved in direct patient care.
Learning Objectives
- Identify the emotional and social challenges inherent in-patient care and their impact on professional well-being.
- Demonstrate strategies to communicate empathetically and support colleagues during emotionally charged situation.
- Apply reflective practices to improve resilience, teamwork, and patient-centered care delivery.

Nursing Learning Outcome:
