March 26, 2024

Are you working on Specific Aims for an NIH grant? In this session, you will receive personal coaching with a focus on typical patterns and essential wording to boost impact.

Led by Dorothy E. Lewis, PhD, faculty development manager, this 90-minute workshop will provide a brief overview, followed by one-on-one coaching with an expert grant writer. Attendees should email their partially developed Aims to facultydev@houstonmethodist.org in advance of the workshop.

By the end of this workshop attendees will have learned how to:

  • Identify Specific Aim patterns.
  • Identify rhetoric that drives a successful submission.
  • Identify how aspects of Specific Aims are related by separate ideas of approaches.
