Patient Safety Academy - Safety in the Patient Care Setting (Opioids) - Online CME Course

The opioid epidemic has been developing over several years with recent information still demonstrating use of high MME opioid prescriptions, excess quantity prescriptions, and inpatient adverse events related to opioid therapy. Decreases in these measures have been seen over the past few years but remains an important public health concern. A noted concern among US healthcare providers, including nurses, has noted limited education on the topic and knowledge to support safe opioid use.
