Nursing Science and PPL Workshop: Searching The Literature
This session will focus on navigating Houston Methodist Library Resources to include a basic literature search, review of several relevant databases and internal and external access to library resources.

Upon completion if this activity the attendees will report increased knowledge of searching the literature using Houston Methodist Library Resources as reflected by greater than 75% of the participants reporting improvement in knowledge.

Houston Methodist Hospital System Librarian for 38 years and is responsible for curating the collection including books, journals, and databases, to meet the clinical and research needs of our staff and learners here at Houston Methodist. The HM Library Resources are available to all employees and once a one-person library, the staff has now grown to three librarians, including an Archivist. The library resources budget is now $4.7 million annually and we strive to make employees aware and educate everyone on how to use what we have available online.
