This 90-minute virtual session, led by Amanda Weiskoff, PhD, and Shaefali Rodgers, PhD, from the Office of Faculty and Research Development, offers a focused introduction to the structure and critical elements of a typical National Institutes of Health (NIH) research grant application. Learn about NIH’s new, simplified framework for peer-review and the key components that influence scoring, with special emphasis on the Specific Aims page—a pivotal part of the proposal. This session is ideal for early-career investigators, trainees, and anyone new to NIH funding.
