How Social Stress Drive Our Clients' Lives - March 11, 2025
Regarding the motivation to change, behavioral health treatment tends to focus on individual traits as driving a person's motivation to change, leaning more toward theory than research on what motivates people. Social psychology, on the other hand, provides a wealth of research on these issues, focusing on a person's social support, the sense of their value in their community, how isolated they are, etc. This talk addresses this very important world of social states.
