With the increasing population of patients that require inpatient chemotherapy, this offering closes the knowledge and skill gaps for nurses who do not have experience in safely administering these drugs.

- Define cancer, chemotherapy, and other oncology treatments.
- Discuss principles of hazardous drugs and safely administering hazardous drugs.
- Discuss principal patient assessments and monitoring required for intravenous oncology treatments.
- Discuss safe handling of chemotherapy and other hazardous drugs.
- Discuss hazardous drug spill management and exposure management.
- Identify common inpatient intravenous oncology medications and treatment protocols.
