At the end of the activity, the learners will be able to:

o Describe the pathophysiology of liver cirrhosis.

o Differentiate between compensated and decompensated cirrhosis.

o Use clinical data to identify complications of cirrhosis such as hepatic encephalopathy, spontaneous bacterial peritonitis, variceal bleeding, ascites, and acute kidney injury.

o Discuss evidence-based practice nursing care in patients with liver cirrhosis.
