Heart Failure Nursing Seminar - Heart Success: Function not Failure
The Heart Failure Nursing Seminar is a comprehensive program designed for the novice to experienced nurses managing heart failure patients. The series includes topics regarding cardiac anatomy and physiology, clinical assessment, heart failure disease management and recommended American College of Cardiology guidelines. Heart failure specialty clinical nurses will expand their educational experience to improve heart failure patient outcomes within best practice recommendations. Quality and patient safety monitoring heart failure measures and opportunities for improvement is an essential component of care for these patients.

Nursing Learning Outcome:
Nurses attending this activity will be better prepared to provide high quality evidence-based care to patients with heart failure, including anticipating care needs along a continuum of severity and associated with treatment modalities, providing accurate patient and family education, and reflecting quality and safety initiatives targeting heart failure.
Measure:
Nurses will report via the post activity evaluation tool, an increase in confidence to provide high quality evidence-based care to patients with heart failure, including anticipating care needs along a continuum of severity and associated with treatment modalities, providing accurate patient and family education and reflecting quality and safety initiatives targeting heart failure as a result of attending this activity. They will report at least one new learning related to heart failure management they will be able to put into personal practice.
