Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenator (ECMO) When Traditional Therapy Isn’t Enough
This course is designed for nurses to further advance their understanding of refractory heart failure and respiratory failure leading to patients and how ECMO therapy can assist with the bridge to recovery or bridge to transplant. This course is a mixture of didactic and skills and has many break out sessions for the participants to take what they learned and put it into action through simulations and case studies. Upon completing the course participants will understand how to manage hemodynamics, medication administration, mobility, and the emergency management for ECMO patients.
