Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenator Bootcamp December 18, 2024
This course is designed for nurses who have taken care of ECMO patients prior but have not taken the updated ECMO course. Due to the influx of ECMO patients in the hospital there has also been an increase in research surrounding ECMO management, that nurses who have previously taken an ECMO course will not have recieved. This course was created to further enrich the nurses understanding of the complex pathophysiology of venovenous ECMO.

Learning Objectives
Nursing Learning Outcome:
By the end of this activity participants will gain the essential knowledge of ECMO concepts and be able to manage patients receiving ECMO therapy with current up-to-date practices. 80% of nurses will self-report an increase in knowledge surrounding ECMO problem solving techniques to decrease the number of complications a patient can experience during therapy in the post course evaluation.
