Emerging Leader Program: Decision Making - April - June 2023

Effective leaders look at challenges and can make decisions when needed.

In this course, participants will explore strategies to improve decision making and build on their ability to analyze challenges when they arise. 

After completing this course, you will be able to:

  • Develope a Self-Awareness : Understanding what drives our decision making by reflecting on our decision-making style
  • EQ and Decision Making : Identifying what part emotional intelligence plays in the decision-making process and improves our ability to move forward
  • Common Challenges : Reviewing the 4 decision-making villains that impact our ability to effectively make decisions
  • Solutions to Better Decision Making : Developing critical decision-making skills through identifying bias barriers and learning techniques for effective decision making
  • Driving Team Decisions : Review additional support to help drive team decision making

Nursing Learning Outcome:

On completion of this activity, registered nurses will report via the post-activity survey of being better prepared to make decisions. They will identify at least one new learning related to critical decision -making skills that they can apply to personal practice.
