Collaboration is key to leadership success! Learn tools and skills for adapting your communication style to foster collaboration with others.

In this Emerging Leader Program course, participants will review the fundamentals of communication and begin building self-awareness through exploring their preferred communication style using the DiSC assessment tool.  Additionally, participants will discover ways to engage others and enhance opportunities for collaboration by learning how to utilize communication agility methods.

After completing this course, you will be able to:

  • Identify the basic definition of communication and how we engage in both verbal and non-verbal communication behaviors
  • Learn to better understand yourself and how you can tailor your communication to improve teamwork and understanding
  • Develop a model for building collaboration through adapted communication styles

Nursing Learning Outcome:

On completion of this activity, registered nurses will report via post activity survey at least on communication tool that they can incorporate into personal practice in an effort to promote collaboration.
