Effective Strategies for Writing NIH K Award Applications

October 9, 2024

Drs. Mani and Ottinger will share their wealth of experience, as mentors and as reviewers on National Institutes of Health (NIH) K award study sections. They will share insights on strategizing and preparing successful K applications including what reviewers are looking for, how to incorporate your career goals, balancing research and training activities, what makes a strong mentor support letter, and synthesizing the full K story. Their guidance will help applicants prepare a personalized and aligned K award application that funds their short- and long-term goals for training and research. The seminar will conclude with an interactive question and answer session.
