Effective Communication and Hand-Off
This course includes a discussion of the importance of inter-departmental communication regarding patients’ medical history, family history, and current medical diagnosis/laboratory values. Knowing pertinent maternal history and problems will assist the nursing team in diagnosing problems earlier in the antenatal period and provide appropriate neonatal treatment and management of disease processes.
