Delirium & Hospital Geriatrics for Case Management
This course will provide an overview of the causes, features, and symptoms of delirium. It will further explore the differences between delirium and dementia, as well as, management of delirium in the hospital setting and implications for case management.

Learning Objectives
Nursing Learning Outcome:
At the conclusion of the education, 75% of participants will report enhanced knowledge of the critical indicators for delirium and dementia through the post-evaluation tool by selecting at least 'fairly increased' on a 1-4 scale (none, somewhat, fairly, greatly).
Nursing and Social Work Objectives:
1.) Be able to state key signs of delirium & dementia
2.) Importance of recognizing delirium
3.) Describe the impact of delirium on rehabilitation/long term outcomes
4.) Be familiar with management or delirium
5.) Describe risks of hospitalization for older adults
