ForwardCVA Workshop
Learn about nursing care of the patient diagnosed with a stroke. Aspects will include stroke care measures, code CVA process, a stroke overview, care of the stroke patient, imaging overview in ischemic stroke, pharmacologic intervention, neuro assessment, the NIH stroke scale, and dysphagia screening.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will self-report an increase in knowledge in the nursing care of the patient with a stroke by addressing the anatomy/physiology and pathophysiology of stroke, assessment, evidenced based interventions, and comprehensive care, as well as patient care and outcomes for stroke patients on the post-activity evaluation tool.
