An essential element of scientific communication is understanding best practices for data visualization and figure types used to convey research data and indications for usage.
This 90-minute course offers an in-depth look at how to create figures for posters, manuscripts and oral presentations.


By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Review the basic design elements that make up a successful figure or poster
  • Identify successful layout, organization, text, color and graphical elements
  • Analyze and critique the design successes and limitations of scientific figures
