LIVE (In-Person) attendance
**Registration gives learner live access to conference on Friday, March 24th, 2022 3:00 PM-6:30 PM and Saturday, March 25th, 2022 7:00 AM-4:30 PM and INCLUDES selection of 1/2 breakout sessions from "Picking the Brain: Neurocritical Care Hot Topics" and "Sleepless in the ICU," AND 1/4 workshops from "ECMO/VAD," "Difficult Airway including Cricothyroidotomy," "Case-Based Hemodynamics," and "Patient Ventilator Asynchrony." See below for descriptions. LEARNERS MUST ATTEND THE ENTIRETY OF (1) BREAKOUT SESSION AND (1) HANDS-ON WORKSHOP TO RECEIVE FULL CE CREDITS.**
Picking the Brain: Neurocritical Care Hot Topics
Live Breakout session
Session Time: 1:30pm – 3:00pm
This 1.5-hour breakout session will provide you a practical approach that focuses on issues for the critically-ill neurological patient such as, post cardiac arrest management, subarachnoid hemorrhage, subdural hemorrhage, Ischemic stroke, status epilepticus and more. Through case presentations carefully selected to illustrate the difficulties of diagnosing and managing these patients, participants will learn how recent advances in the field can be applied in their practices. You will also have the opportunity to participate in interactive case-based discussions followed by Q&A.
Sleepless in the ICU
Live Breakout session
Session Time: 3:00pm – 4:30pm
This 1.5-hour breakout session will focus on creating and Implementing a Multidisciplinary Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Sleep Bundle to Evaluate Quality of Sleep, CAM-ICU Rates, and Length of Stay. You will also have the opportunity to participate in interactive case-based discussions followed by Q&A.
Veno-venous & Veno-arterial Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)
In-person Workshop
Session I Time: 1:30pm – 3:00pm
Session II Time: 3:00pm – 4:30pm
This 1.5-hour in-person workshop will help you identify the components of the ECMO circuit and identify major indications, contraindications, the physiology, common problems and complications of veno-venous and veno-arterial ECMO. You will also have the opportunity to participate in interactive case-based discussions followed by Q&A.
Difficult Airway including Cricothyroidotomy
In-person Workshop
Session I Time: 1:30pm – 3:00pm
Session II Time: 3:00pm – 4:30pm
This 1.5 hour in person workshop will help us discuss airway challenges posed and critically ill patients. In this workshop you will identify components of medical knowledge required to understand every anatomy of adults and demonstrate related skills for difficult airway management as well as techniques such as cricothyroidotomy. You will also have the opportunity to participate in interactive case-based discussions followed by Q&A.
Case-based Hemodynamic Workshop
In-person Workshop
Session I Time: 1:30pm – 3:00pm
Session II Time: 3:00pm – 4:30pm
This 1.5-hour in-person workshop will introduce you to will learn about advanced hemodynamic insights for individualized patient management. You will learn about cardiopulmonary monitoring using both invasive (Swan-Ganz catheter) and noninvasive devices that can assist clinicians when assessing and treating critically ill patients. You will learn how to assess preload, contractility, and afterload as well as fluid management and determine fluid responsiveness. You will also have the opportunity to participate in interactive case-based discussions followed by Q&A.
Patient Ventilator Asynchrony
In-person Workshop
Session I Time: 1:30pm – 3:00pm
Session II Time: 3:00pm – 4:30pm
In this 1.5-hour in-person advanced-level workshop, you will learn about the different types of asynchronies, indications on what to look for on the pressure or flow waveform and be able to identify the possible causes of different types of asynchronies. You will also have the opportunity to participate in interactive case-based discussions followed by Q&A.
