2026 Regional Shared Governance Conference
The 2026 Regional Shared Governance Conference is designed to strengthen nurses’ knowledge of shared governance strategies, structures, and best practices that promote engagement, collaboration, and evidence-based decision-making across the healthcare system. Through expert presentations, interactive discussions, case studies, and peer-to-peer learning, participants will explore innovative approaches to enhancing council effectiveness, increasing staff participation, and aligning shared governance initiatives with organizational priorities. This conference supports professional development and leadership growth while fostering a cohesive system-wide culture of nursing excellence, quality improvement, and professional practice.
Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations, no-shows, or partial attendance. Please ensure your availability prior to registering for this event.

By the end of this conference, participants will be able to:
1) Discuss examples of nursing-led research or improvement
projects and how they can be applied in their own areas.
2) Describe strategies to increase participation and
engagement in shared governance, including for night shift
staff and underrepresented groups.
3) Identify methods to improve council participation,
accountability, and overall effectiveness.
4) Explain how system councils and cross-unit collaboration
strengthen decision-making and standardization across the
organization.
Learner Outcome: Upon completion of this activity, participants will self-report an increase in knowledge related to shared governance strategies and structures that improve engagement, collaboration, and effectiveness of evidence- based practices across the healthcare system.
