Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to: 

  • Explain how mitral isthmus radiofrequency ablation can cause injury in the left circumflex artery territory.
  • Describe why multimodality imaging is essential to determine the etiology and anatomy of pseudoaneurysms.
  • Identify diagnostic indicators of dyspnea using transthoracic echocardiogram imaging.
  • Explain why surgery is the treatment of choice in patients with ventricular pseudoaneurysms.
