Lunch and Learn: Respect: Building Relationships - November 13, 2025
This interactive session brings together physicians, nurses, and advanced practice providers (APPs) for a panel discussion on fostering mutual respect in healthcare teams. Panelists will share perspectives on how respectful communication and collaboration improve teamwork, patient outcomes, and staff well-being. Learners will explore common challenges, reflect on real-world scenarios, and discuss practical strategies to build a culture of respect in daily practice.
Target Audience
Physicians, registered nurses, PA, Social Workers, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
Learning Objectives
- Describe the core principles of mutual respect and the impact of respectful communication on teamwork, staff well-being, and patient outcomes.
- Analyze interprofessional perspectives on barriers and facilitators of respect within healthcare teams
- Apply practical strategies shared by panelists to foster psychological safety, accountability, and respectful interactions in daily practice.
