ABOUT THE AWARD AND LECTURESHIP
The Baylor College of Medicine Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy, Houston Methodist and the Rice University Department of Philosophy are pleased to present this named lectureship in Baruch Brody’s memory. This year’s event will be an in-person panel presentation with representation from each of the three sponsoring institutions. Each panelist speaks for 10–15 minutes, followed by a Q&A session.

Learning Objectives
-Discuss Baruch Brody’s philosophical approach to bioethical issues
-Describe Brody’s clinical ethics approach and his international impact on ethics education, medical professionalism and patient care
-Identify the ways in which Brody combined both these philosophical and clinical approaches to address bioethical issues
