Learning Objectives
- Discuss the concept of preferences that economists rely on, whose influence on medicine has been growing;
- Explain when and to what extent the preferences of patients ought to govern their care;
- Describe how generic health measurement systems rely on preference elicitation and the value and drawbacks of those systems
Nursing Outcome
Upon completion of this activity, nurses will self-report an increase in knowledge related to ethical preferences and considerations and how they impact preferences, health, and healthcare of patients.
