Objectives

• Differentiate normal physiologic changes of pregnancy from pathologic signs and symptoms that require further evaluation or escalation of care
• Evaluate common myths related to pregnancy care in non-obstetric settings and apply current evidence-based recommendations to clinical practice
• Describe the scope of training, and outcomes of midwifery care and integrate midwives effectively into interdisciplinary care models
