Overview

The Delirium Meeting is an interprofessional collaboration aimed at addressing the critical issue of delirium in the older patient population. Delirium is a common and serious condition that can lead to increased morbidity, prolonged hospital stays, and higher healthcare costs. This meeting will bring together healthcare professionals from various disciplines to discuss evidence-based interventions and develop actionable strategies to reduce the incidence of delirium.

Learning Outcome

After completing this activity, 80% of registered nurses will self-report an improvement in their knowledge about delirium recognition, prevention, or management.

Houston Methodist is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

To receive 0.33 nursing continuing professional development contact hours, participants must mark attendance on the course website with the provided code within 24 hours, attend the entire activity, and complete the evaluation tool within 30 days.
