Overview

There is presently no other established orthopedics sports medicine conference at Houston Methodist or in the TMC. This serves as essential function for practicing physicians to learn new surgical techniques and management strategies, review recent medical literature and discuss difficult or unusual cases. 

Target Audience and Needs

The target audience for this activity is: Orthopedic Surgeons.

Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

  • Identify difficult issues in sports medicine related injuries
  • Review new literature on sports medicine related injuries
  • Understand sports medicine related diagnostics as well as treatment options, bracing, rehabilitation, and surgical techniques. 

Accreditation/Credit Designation

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Houston Methodist designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
