Overview
The incidence of hepatocellular Carcinoma is rising worldwide and evaluations and treatments are rapidly changing. This continuing medical education activity is designed to provide a comprehensive assessment and discussion of multidisciplinary approaches to treating primary and secondary liver tumors, addressing the timing and types of treatments that best fit individual patient characteristics who have primary and secondary liver tumors.
Target Audience and Needs
The target audience for this activity is: physicians, nurses, and health professionals in hepatology, diagnostic radiology, oncology and surgery.
Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
- Define liver tumors using illustrated guide to systematic radiologic diagnosis and staging according to AASLD.
- Identify and stage new onset and existing liver tumors using a radiologic systematic approach
- Interpret the background of treatment and management of Hepatocellular Carcinoma and be able to identify primary and secondary liver tumors in different case studies.
