Overview
There is a need for physicians, residents, and fellows to continually update their knowledge in the treatment of patients with interstitial lung disease (ILD). A join statement from the American Thoracic Association (ATS) and European Respiratory Society (ERS) on the classification of idiopathic interstitial pneumonia (IIP) recommended an integrated approach to the diagnosis of ILD, involving clinicians, radiologists and, when lung biopsy has been performed, pathologists. This recommendation was reinforced in the updated guidelines in 2013 and 2015 by ATS/ERS. Educational methods will include lecture, case presentations, and question & answer session.
