Target Audience
This course is designed for physicians, physician assistants, sonographers, nurse practitioners, nurses, residents, fellows, students, and engineers.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
- Identify extracranial and intracranial flow signals
- Perform complete transcranial ultrasound examinations
- Identify extracranial and intracranial stenosis, collateral flow, flow reversal, PFO and vasospasm
- Interpret cervical and transcranial ultrasound studies, including monitoring procedure.
- Discuss different types of ultrasound equipment and ultrasound impact on stroke management
