Regulatory Landscape Overview: Human Subjects and Animal Research
This 90-minute presentation provides training on the ethical and regulatory requirements for the research conduct on human subjects and animals and for safety protocols. The training applies to principal investigators, research administrators, staff and others involved in the research process or who are interested in conducting or supporting research at Houston Methodist. Led by the Regulatory Oversight teams in the Office of Research Protections, this session will provide an overview of human subjects, animal, and biosafety research, the importance of the regulatory requirements governing such research, and the protocol review process.
