Introduction to Mindfulness - Online CE Course

Half hour learning course on the introduction to mindfulness. The subject will be broken down into 5 parts:

  1. An Introduction to Mindfulness
  2. Mindful moment belly breathing
  3. Mindful moment: coming to your senses
  4. Mindful moment: body scan
  5. Conclusion

Target Audience

Physicians, nurses, allied health staff, administration, researchers. 

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  • Describe what mindfulness is, its history, and its relevance in medical practice
  • Provide reasoned arguments for incorporating mindfulness into their daily routine, including its potential for improving patient care and personal well-being
  • Assess the potential advantages and potential drawbacks of mindfulness practice, contributing to improving quality and patient safety.
  • Participants will be able to perform basic mindfulness exercises, and instruct others in their implementation, enhancing their Interpersonal and Communication Skills and fostering the desirable physician attribute of lifelong learning
