This activity provides a comprehensive update on the evaluation, diagnosis and management of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Expert-led lectures, panel discussions, and case-based presentations cover the latest treatments and updates on multi-modality imaging techniques, management of obstructive and non-obstructive forms of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, including surgical and medical options, as well as guidance on the management of arrhythmias and exercise for patients with this condition. Physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, residents/fellows, nurses, and other health care professionals in cardiology and cardiovascular specialties, internal medicine and family practice will benefit from this course.

Target Audience

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the participant should be able to:
- Identify the multimodal options available in the evaluation of a patient presenting with dyspnea, including cardiac imaging, hemodynamics, and functional testing.
- Describe contemporary management for obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, including surgical septal myectomy, alcohol septal ablation, and novel medical therapy with cardiac myosin inhibitors.
- Discuss risk assessment and prevention strategies, including sudden death with defibrillators, arrhythmia management, exercise recommendations, and advanced heart failure options for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
