  • Recognize one essential skill required for all palliative care clinicians
  • Incorporate the Realities of communication including best practices, varied approaches, and tactics for connecting in all patient encounters
  • Prepare for goals of care discussions with PAUSE and REMAP tools   

Nursing Learning Outcome:

On completion of this activity, registered nurses will be able to describe one concept they will be able to incorporate into their practice at the bedside regarding the myths and realities of communication, as evidenced by self-reported intent to change practice as stated on the post-activity evaluation tool.
