Comfort and Safety Open Discussion for Nurse Leaders
Course Overview:
This virtual instructor-led course, designed for nurse leaders, provides best practices on how to effectively reinforce learning from the Comfort and Safety Rounds Course with nursing staff. The course focuses on sharing practical strategies on how to illustrate accountability, taking action, mentoring, and providing coaching and feedback on rounds to enhance overall patient experience.
All sessions held virtually.
Target Audience
Audience: All Nursing Leaders. (i.e. charge nurses, nurse managers, nurse directors, ACNOs/CNOs)
Learning Objectives
Nursing Learning Outcome:
At the completion of this activity, the registered nurse will be able to describe 1 new learning they will apply to their practice and share with other nurses on their units that will increase their confidence in their ability to assess and determine appropriate coaching methods to provide feedback and accountability to staff during rounds and in complex patient/family encounters, as evidenced by self-reported intent to change practice as stated on the post-activity evaluation tool.
