Bradley Z. Naifeh Inaugural Amyloidosis Conference
Houston Methodist J.C. Walter Jr. Conference Series
Presented by: Bradley Z. Naifeh Amyloidosis Clinical Research and Treatment Program at Houston Methodist J.C. Walter Jr. Transplant Center
Amyloidosis is an underrecognized condition because it has been historically been misconceived to be a rare disease and presents in a myriad of clinical situations in a subtle manner. Recent advances in therapeutics has made it imperative that this condition is recognized and categorized appropriately in a timely manner so that individuals can get access to appropriate care. Due to a systemic nature of amyloid, various subspecialities are on the fore front of battling this disease. The goal of the Conference is to create a faculty panel from various disciplines to engage in the mission to promote awareness and educate attendees on Amyloidosis in a comprehensive manner.
