Overview
Researchers have identified an education gap between the generation of new knowledge and the transfer of research-based knowledge into practice. This gap exists because of varying degrees of understanding and knowledge of the research process, experience in the critiquing research, and evaluating its scientific merit and clinic relevance. The conference typically focuses on one or more clinical issues, the treatment decisions and how those decisions are related to patient outcomes. By presenting the research-based knowledge in conjunction with clinical scenarios, the participants will be able to apply the new knowledge into their clinical practice.
