Overview
Houston Methodist Hospital Urology Grand Rounds provides an excellent environment for the review and discussion of patient and institution quality and national metrics programs. These conferences will meet the ongoing educational needs of members of the Urology trainees and staff of Houston Methodist (HM), physicians at HM affiliated hospitals in advances in the evaluation and management of Urologic patients, and elements in the professional and socioeconomic issues related to urologic health will be discussed, encompassing both the science and art of medicine.
Target Audience and Needs
The target audience for this activity is: attending physicians, residents, fellows, medical students, allied health professionals, nurses, nurse practitioners, and attending physicians of Houston Methodist and affiliated institutions.
Objectives
- Describe important factors in defining excellence in something.
- Discuss various concepts on how to improve surgical education for residents and practicing urologists.
- Suggest ways to increase surgical volume and improve person surgical skills and outcomes.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
