Overview
This monthly meeting with review transplant specific peer reviewed journal articles. Each session will include 2 or more articles evaluating basic science and clinic research in transplantation. The goal of this journal club is to review and discuss new information specific to clinical practice in transplantation. The goal of this journal club is to review and discuss new information specific to clinical practice in transplantation. The practice gaps in transplantation are due primarily to the lack of new knowledge described in the literature, and this journal club will be a venue for transplant clinicians to review the literature and discuss how those findings may impact current practice.
Target Audience and Needs
The target audience for this activity is: staff physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, researchers, residents/fellows.
Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
- Conduct a literature review in basic and clinical science topics in transplantation.
- Discuss how these findings differ from current clinical practice.
- Evaluate how these findings can improve on patient care.
